ecco la lista,redatta di suo pugno, delle trombe e dei bocchini usati dallo zio Arturo nel corso della sua carriera:

Long ago I tried for a short time a Monette B6 mouthpiece.
Besides that I got temporarily a lot of horn that I can't remember, I'm sorry if I forgot some of them

La cosa più impressionante sono i soli 3 bocchini (che poi, in sostanza, è uno solo, il suo 3C MV).

Anche io ho iniziato con una tromba prodotta nella Germania dell'Est! Peccato che le similitudini con il grande Sandoval finiscano qui...

Bellissimo questo topic, interessante sia l'elenco di trombe, alcune davvero mai sentite, che quello ristretto dei bocchini.

Nei video più recenti e quando sono andato a sentirlo al Lugano Jazz Festival di qualche anno fa, l'ho visto usare sempre una selmer concept tt modificata.

A Lugano sono riuscito ad intravederlo mentre si scaldava e usava anche un bocchino appesantito che non era sicuramente un monette, durante il concerto l'ha usato solo per un pezzo "soft" .

ah, mentre si scaldava dietro al palco alternava la tromba a due boccate di sigaro, cubano immagino

Infatti è tutto da vedere. Ci sono in giro centinaia di foto e video in cui suona di tutto (sia trombe che bocchini) quindi la "leggenda" del sempre e solo il 3C MtVernon non è che regga molto.

P.S. A proposito del sigaro cubano, nel celebre metodo Sandoval fra i primi ammonimenti che elargisce c'è quello che non si deve fumare, MAI! Va bene che bisogna fare quel che il prete dice e non quel che il prete fa, però ....
