New York Stradivarius 7-53 in amazing condition for sale!
The trumpet is from 1937 (serial 37xx), and has a #7 bell (120mm/4,7"), .453" medium bore. It has been completely overhauled and is ready to be played professionaly. All valves and slides are excellent, no dents or dings! It is lacquered with silver-nickel trims.
This old horn has better response and intonation and is more flexible than many high end modern horns I´ve owned. It is light, but not particularly bright sounding. It would be perfect as a classical/all-round horn - it can be both dark and bright, has a clean sound, and can very easily be pushed to great volumes despite the medium bore. It probably suits classical playing better than jazz due to its clear, clean tone - this is also the reason that I have decided to sell it. These horns are legendary for a reason - I never thought a 1937 trumpet would outplay my other top horns!
